Sexual assault (ECJ 2018): the NHL will wait for the end of legal procedures

National Hockey League Commissioner Gary Bettman refuses to talk about sanctions against 2018 Canada Junior Team players accused of sexual assault until legal proceedings are over.

Legal documents indicate that Dillon Dube, Cal Foote, Alex Formenton, Carter Hart and Michael McLeod will all be charged with sexual assault. The case is expected to go to court on Monday.

These charges will be filed in connection with allegations of sexual assault that were made by an individual who is identified by the initials “EM” on June 19, 2018.

The players who will be charged have all obtained permission from their respective clubs to be absent for an indefinite period.
