Head to the Bills for Marquez Valdes-Scantling

The catcher didn't take too long to find a new quality pitcher.

Marquez Valdes-Scantling will continue his brilliant career with another title candidate.

The former Chiefs player (29 years old) signs a one-year contract for $4.5 million with the Buffalo Bills according to ESPN. This amount comes with a signing bonus of 1.125 million.

Cut by Kansas City during the offseason, the receiver brings his experience to a young committee (Coleman, Shakir, Kincaid). With Curtis Samuel, he will bring the experience factor that the Bills will need, especially during high-stakes games.

Opposed to the Chiefs in 2024

Last season, the receiver caught 21 passes for 315 yards and 1 touchdown. His worst statistical season in terms of balls received. In the playoffs, he is the player with the decisive receptions, notably the one against the Ravens allowing the Chiefs to reach the Super Bowl.

He will have the opportunity to bring back good memories of his former club. The Bills will face the Chiefs during the 2024 season, the schedule of which will be released tomorrow, Wednesday, May 15.
