Gary Sanchez: his former teammates believe he can return to the MLB

I have a theory about Gary Sanchez: he’s the next Carlos Correa.

Am I saying this because of his defensive skills? Obviously not. Am I saying this because of his slashing? No…even though Correa is hitting badly these days.

It’s because of his background.

After spending his entire career in the colors of another American team, Sanchez headed to Minnesota for the 2022 season. He then became a free agent.

From there, he signed with the Giants… never playing for them. He became a free agent again.

Subsequently, he agreed with the Mets, a club for which he has not yet played. He is therefore on the same path as Correa at this level.

But OK. All that to say that right now he’s in AAA with the Syracuse Mets with the goal of coming to play with the Mets.

And in his quest to return to play in New York, he can count on the support of his former teammates, in particular DJ LeMahieu and Aaron Judge. Both have publicly supported him.

Judge’s case is interesting since the two rode together with the Yankees. They bonded to the point where Judge’s parents, who live in California, visited Sanchez when he was playing AAA for the Giants earlier this season.

The Yankees captain therefore believes he deserves his chance because he is working to improve both offensively and defensively. And these days, surprisingly, he’s doing well offensively.

I wouldn’t be totally surprised to see Sanchez get his shot as the Mets’ go-to hitter in New York if he sticks the big hits down. The club needs help upstairs…

That said, as a receiver, I would be on the back. After all, he’s not a good defensive player, as you know. He must not be behind a plate in the Majors.

  • Giannis is also the talk of the MLB.
  • Spet stolen goals in one game?
