Derek Carr can forget the rumors about his future. This Wednesday, the quarterback and the Raiders agreed to a 3-year contract extension.
According to NFL Network, the deal is for $121.5 million, a healthy average of $40.5 million per season. Above all, it contains a clause which allows the player to veto any transfer. Except for a cut, Carr now has her destiny in her hands for the years to come. This extension commits him until the end of the 2025 campaign.
Despite the doubts that sometimes hovered over his black-and-silver future, especially during the Jon Gruden era, Carr has been in place since 2014. No other pitcher has been in charge of the same offense longer than him in the conference. AFC.
A three-time Pro Bowler from 2015 to 2017, Carr threw 193 touchdowns for 85 interceptions during his career. Last year, despite the resignation of Jon Gruden and the incarceration of Henry Ruggs, he and his team clung to their qualification for the playoffs, before losing in the first round against the Bengals.
