Tobias Harris back at the right time?

This is no time for fun in Philadelphia, where the Sixers saw James Harden, Tyrese Maxey and then Joel Embiid fall in quick succession, victim of a sprain when he had been in Olympic form for ten days.

After the announcement of his injury, Doc Rivers quickly began to work hard to compensate for these three absences. One thing is certain, no one will be able to do the job alone, it will be necessary to provide a response as a team.

“We just have to play”, dropped Doc Rivers yesterday after practice. “We worked today. We’ve been working on a lot of things about movement on offense. We’re not going to be a great team with just PJ Tucker, Montrezl Harrell and Paul Reed, we’re just going to get on with it and go for it.”

No need for a savior, but for soldiers

In his sentence, the Sixers coach should however recover Tobias Harris, absent for ten days due to a painful hip. The winger won’t be the savior but his contribution will be important.

“It sucks to have guys who aren’t there. Health has been an important element for the whole group this year. Obviously, we want everyone to come back and be as healthy as possible, but for everyone else, solutions have to be found. Everyone must raise their level and be ready”did he declare. “Above all, I need to be healthy and able to play. But overall, everyone’s role has grown, and so will I. We just have to find a way to make enough collective efforts as a group to keep us in the games and have the opportunity to win.

His presence will in any case not be too much, if he is authorized to play this evening, especially since it is the Nets of a certain Ben Simmons who are arriving in town…
