The Blue Jays de Toronto have just announced that Davis Schneider, who has been in major since the summer of 2023, is back with the bisons of Buffalo for the rest of things.
It is the only staff movement that has been announced.
As the Blue Jays do not play today, we must think that tomorrow, the club will announce that Nathan Lukes is back in active alignment, he who is currently on the paternity list to attend the birth of his child.
But it remains a surprise. After all, one might think that Adopt Barger, recalled to replace Lukes, was going to be the one who was going to be scoped on the return of Lukes with the others.
But everything suggests that not.
Schneider had little playing time and he was no longer as productive in 2023. He has little to learn in minors, but he can especially find his confidence in the bottom.
The question I ask myself, therefore: will Barger have a good playing time?
I have the impression that with Anthony Santander who plays a lot like DH (and Will Wagner who is in the warm corner), it helps to open a place in the outside field in Toronto. And if Barger can take it … so much the better.
You have to keep in mind that staff movements can happen quickly and that anything can change quickly. Barger must therefore take advantage of the small opening in front of him in the coming days.
Its power can make it almost essential in town, if it wants.
