Blue Jays: sacrifice the rest of the veterans in the rotation or not

Earlier this afternoon, the Blue Jays announced that Easton Lucas (who lost feathers) had been sent back to the AAA. The Josh Walker lifter takes its place for this evening duel in Houston

Here is the alignment of the day, on this subject.

This means that the Blue Jays, with the launchers currently in place, have a rotation of four guys: Kevin Gausman, Chris Bassitt, Jose Berrios and Bowden Francis.

Max Scherzer is still injured, Alek Manoah too … And the depth options are not exactly attractive, at the moment. Jake Bloss is not exactly essential at the bottom, let's say.

Blue Jays therefore have two choices right now. The first is to recall a starting launcher. And the second is to roll up to four runners until May 3, which is possible due to the holidays of April 24 and 28.

Shi Davidi addressed the subject in a text on the Sportsnet site.

Obviously, John Schneider and the rest of the team are more comfortable when the veterans are on the mound. But you also have to manage their workload by the end of the season.

The guys do not rejuvenate (and Francis does not have much experience as well), which means that rest is also a weapon. But rest involves raising a guy for a match. #Risk

The Blue Jays want to rest their veterans, but they do not necessarily have the means of their ambitions at the moment. We will therefore see the decision that will be taken in this sense soon.

Already that the enclosure has taken blows since the start of the season, Blue Jays cannot afford to lose one more leaving. But the guys in place are well and giving them mileage is tempting, for the manager …
