NFL in Brazil: it will be Eagles against Packers

We have known since February that the Eagles would open their 2024 NFL season in Brazil. We now know against whom.

The NFL announced this Wednesday that the Green Bay Packers will travel with Philadelphia. The two teams will face each other at the Corinthians Arena in Sao Paulo.

The game is scheduled for Friday, September 6, 2024. This will be the first time since 1970 that the NFL plays a game on a Friday in the first week of competition.

The Browns will not go to Brazil this year

This official announcement ends a strange moment for the Browns and their supporters.

In March, Maurice Hurst, Cleveland defensive tackle, announced that his team would play in Brazil in 2024. A few days later, Packers officials recalled that they were also in the race. And they were right.

As a reminder, five NFL games will be played outside the United States during the upcoming season. In addition to Brazil, two matches will take place at Tottenham, with the Bears and Vikings as the host teams. The Jaguars will be the home team for a match at Wembley.

Finally, the Panthers will be the home team for the match played in Munich.
