Ann Meyers, the woman who almost played in the NBA

A woman playing in the NBA? In terms of regulations, it is possible. And it almost happened in 1979, when Ann Meyers, then 24, had a tryout with the Indiana Pacers.

She was not selected, but she showed that she could hold her own against men. To the point that some of the greatest legends of the NBA would then respect her throughout her career.

How did this 1m75 Californian girl end up in this adventure? And why was the test inconclusive? This is what we tell you today in Histoire(s) de Basketball.
