This morning, colleague Sébastien Berrouard informed you of a wrist injury in the case of Mike Trout. A nasty foul ball got the better of his wrist.

Obviously, the playoff race in the American League is tight. This means that the club does not have time to wait for Trout to make the playoffs.
If the club wants to make them, they have to buy now.
But the problem, as you know, is that missing the playoffs by not having a competitive team will cause Shohei Ohtani to leave as a free agent in a few months.

For what it’s worth, I don’t believe the Angels will sell Ohtani by August 1. I believe he will finish his contract in Anaheim.
