Charvarius Ward (49ers): “DeAndre Hopkins is steroid boy”

The 49ers crushed the Cardinals Monday night in Mexico City. And Charvarius Ward gave a layer of it after the match.

On the antenna of KNBR 680, the cornerback went there frankly about DeAndre Hopkins.

“D Hop thinks he’s tough. He thinks he’s still one of the best receivers in the league, when he’s not. He was trying to talk and be tough the whole game. We are not afraid of him. He thought we were afraid of him. He tried to intimidate us, but forget it, we did our thing. We did our job. He yelped the whole game, but who cares. We just wanted to win. »

Hopkins still caught 9 passes for 103 yards.

Nothing to impress Ward with.

“He was stuck. He was doing dirty things. He tried to hang on to me, he grabbed me by the throat. He grabbed my helmet grid on an action so I don’t respect his game. It’s steroid boy. »

Hopkins will appreciate the reference to his suspension for the first six games of the season for doping. He will be able to answer in Week 18, when the teams meet. The atmosphere should be warm.
