Robert Covington increasingly comfortable in Philadelphia

Like Nicolas Batum, Robert Covington has fully settled into the Sixers group since the transfer of James Harden. It must be said that the winger is used to team changes and above all, he knows Philadelphia well, with almost 300 matches played there between 2014 and 2018.

He averages 5.9 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.4 steals in 18 minutes and has just gained momentum in the last two games. Against New Orleans then Boston, he averaged 15 points, 6 rebounds and 2.5 steals at 70% 3-point success.

“The more matches I have in my legs, the more comfortable I will feel offensively and defensively,” sums up the former Houston player forInquirer. “I'm still learning the details of the systems, the little things that other people do. Everything will fall into place. »

An experienced player, Robert Covington, like his French teammate, is an excellent Swiss army knife, capable of hitting from afar, and above all of providing great services in defense, with his active hands.

“He’s present in the game, that’s what he knows how to do. He did some good things against Boston. He goes after lost balls, he anticipates things well when he defends on the weak side,” analyzes Nick Nurse.
