The young 23-year-old pivot therefore bounces back to Los Angeles after being released by the Pelicans.
At the Lakers, he will have to revive after being relegated to the end of the New Orleans bench last season, following his conviction for domestic violence and against the police.
Before that, the former Texas pivot was however seen as a promising element in the bayou, with in particular 28 starts during the 2021/22 season, for 9.3 and 4.5 rebounds on average, in 20 minutes of play.
Jaxson Hayes has in any case signed for two seasons, probably at least, with a second year as a “player option” which will allow him to test the market next year if he manages to raise his rating.
