Paul Skenes is a name that draws attention in the world of baseball. And with reason.
But major baseball is lucky because Skenes is not the only young launcher who is excellent and who holds attention when it rises on the mound every five days.
And for an MLB that wants to restore the starters their importance, it's worth gold.
Hunter Greene, on this subject, is a name to remember. The young man has the best deserved average of points since 2024 (at least 160 rounds launched) in the league with 2.48. Since July 1, 2024, it has an average of 1.00… and in 2025, it is 0.98 in 27.2 lanches launched.
But there are also the Cole Ragans (three outings in a row with at least 10k), Mackenzie Gore and Yoshinobu Yamamoto of this world who really do a good job in 2025.
And it's not as if Logan Gilbert, Garrett Crochet, Logan Webb, Zac Gallen or Michael King were old croutons, however.
A few years ago, there was a lot of emphasis on the young players at the Cuisé-Court who landed in the MLB. And there, we can talk about starting launchers this way.
In both cases, it is a nerve position.
I do not know to what extent the MLB is serious in its ideas to force the starting launchers to launch at least six sleeves (unless an injury occurs, that the launcher is crossed or that the brand of the 100 shots is reached), but I imagine by seeing the young people, it makes him want.
To follow.
