Dodgers capture division title

At the start of this campaign, nothing suggested that the Los Angeles Dodgers would finish first in the National League West.

But as the season progressed, we saw that the Californian giant wanted to take back what was owed to it. And that’s what he did last night (Saturday).

Indeed, by taking the measure of the Seattle Mariners by a score of 4-2 in extra innings, the Dodgers secured a tenth division title in the last eleven campaigns.

Despite the poor start to the season mentioned above, despite the fact that the Californian team slept on the gas during the last off-season, and despite the numerous injuries, especially on the mound, the Dodgers have once again confirmed their supremacy in the ‘West.

The month of August was the one that turned the tide in the Dodgers’ season, with them posting a record of 24 wins against only 5 small losses. It was from this moment that no one saw them slipping away from the title.

Manager Dave Roberts is savoring the moment, but he knows very well that the work is not done. This is the message he wanted to send to his players after his team’s important victory.

This is one. We’re going to do this three more times. Enjoy this moment because it’s special.

The whole wonderful world of baseball is now expecting a championship series pitting the Atlanta Braves against the Dodgers.

The advantage at the start of the series would certainly go to the Braves, since the Dodgers rotation still raises several doubts, with the absence of Julio Urias expected to extend until the end of the season, as well as those of Tony Gonsolin, Dustin May and Walker Buehler who will all miss the fall dance.

But one thing is certain, it would make for quite a spectacle.
