Albert Pujols does not want the Angels

Albert Pujols had a sensational career that ended very well with the formation with which he should have spent all of his 22 seasons, the Saint-Louis Cardinals. He will head straight to Cooperstown to be immortalized there forever.

But we can say that his time with the Los Angeles Angels did not end well, much like the entire pact.

But according to the main interested party, all of this is behind him. He feels no resentment towards the organization which failed to meet his expectations and released him.

The proof? As he had already announced, he will honor the 10-year contract that binds him to the Angels as a special assistant for the Californian formation, even after being released by the club during the 2021 season.

And Pujols has already set to work. Indeed, the latter has already arrived at spring camp and he does not do things reluctantly.

I’m really happy to be back here. What happened two years ago, I have no hard feelings about anything. It’s part of the business. Whatever the organization needs, I’m here to help.

One can imagine that the current Angels players are not disappointed to see Pujols land in their environment. Even one of MLB’s best players, Mike Trout is excited about his arrival.

He brings so much insight and can answer any questions. Even I have questions. He’s just been through so many situations. Mentally, physically, he went through it all. So if you’re going through something, it’s good to talk to him. I was very lucky to be surrounded by veterans, and he is one of the best.

The 43-year-old will also travel to his native Dominican Republic during the season to help the team’s hopes there.

  • Alek Manoah believes Alejandro Kirk will make the right decision to be ready when the season starts.
  • The Red Sox reliever is ready to work faster.
