No Pro Bowl for Tua Tagovailoa
This season’s Pro Bowl has been turned into a flag football game. However, Tua Tagovailoa (QB, Dolphins) will still not be able to participate.
According to ESPN, the Dolphins quarterback is still in concussion protocol and will not be participating in the Pro Bowl festivities. Selected as a reserve, he should replace Joe Burrow or Patrick Mahomes, depending on the name of the one who will go to the Super Bowl.
Tagovailoa has been on post-concussion protocol since Dec. 26, after sustaining a concussion against the Packers the day before. He missed the last two regular season games and the first round of the playoffs. ESPN clarifies that there would have been no relapse in his recovery, and that this long period spent in the protocol would be voluntary, to have time to consult several specialists and to prioritize his long-term health.
