The draft is a difficult event to plan a few days in advance, so it's almost impossible for a year before. Each year, a Cam Ward or a Joe Burrow will arise from the shadows, while other players will collapse.
The TDA editorial team had tried the experience a year ago, with a relative success. Back on a Mock Draft 2025 made in May 2024. Our choice and below where the player was selected. Our forecasts were sometimes close to reality, sometimes not at all!
Overall, the university season did not benefit those who were favorites!
1. Carolina Panthers – James Pearce Jr. (Edge, Tennessee)
Real choice: Atlanta Falcons, 26th choice
The Rusher pass remains a choice of the first round. But, its value has dropped due to an average season, and doubtful behavior. In Atlanta, he will energize an area in need of a number 1.
2. New England Patriots – Will Campbell (OT, LSU)
Real choice: New England Patriots, 4th choice
Despite doubts, Will Campbell remains an imposing player. Imposing and leader, he will now protect Drake Maye after protected Jayden Daniels in his university career.
3. Denver Broncos – Travis Hunter (CB/WR, Colorado)
Real choice: Jacksonville Jaguars, 2nd choice
As expected, Travis Hunter is a choice of the Top 3 of the Draft NFL 2025. The Colantback/Receiver of Colorado has made a monstrous season, crowned with the Heisman Trophy. Now he will try to help Trevor Lawrence and the Jaguars to win the AFC Sud.
4. Washington Commanders – Kelvin Banks Jr. (Ot, Texas)
Real choice: New Orleans Holy, 9th choice
Kelvin Banks Jr. remains a selection of the Draft top 10. Very regular, its pass protection technique is ready for the NFL, despite a size and a power below the best in the large league.
5. Tennessee Titans – Quinn Ewers (QB, Texas)
Real choice: Miami Dolphins, 231st choice
Very side before the 2024 season, he underwent public (and media) pressure from the University of Texas. Nevertheless, Quinn Ewers finished drafted, except that he will fight for a lining place among the Dolphins.
6. New York Giants – Carson Beck (QB, Georgia)
Real choice: return and transfer to the University of Miami (FL)
Very good in 2023, Carson Beck chained bad performances in 2024. It was therefore logically that he returned to university. But not in the same time, since it was transferred on the side of the Hurricanes of Miami, where comes from … Cam Ward, the first choice of the Draft NFL 2025.
7. Las Vegas Raiders – Sheder Sanders (QB, Colorado)
Real choice: Cleveland Browns, 144th choice
TOP 10 Mocks Draft before the season and during the season, SheDer Sanders slipped enormously until you be chosen in the 5th round by the Browns. There are many reasons for this fall. But, at least, he is drafted, and this is undoubtedly the main teaching to remember.
8. Arizona Cardinals – Deone Walker (DT, Kentucky)
Real choice: Buffalo Bills, 109th choice
Extraordinary in 2023, Deone Walker was in 2024 in the field. But, out of the field, it is worse since he has often shown that he was not necessarily motivated by playing football. Bills to help him find the pleasure of playing.
9. Minnesota Vikings – Mason Graham (DT, Michigan)
Real choice: Cleveland Browns, 5th choice
Michigan defense spearhead, Mason Graham only got into reports. Selected in the top 5, the old fight will form an enticing duo with Myles Garrett.
10. New Orleans Holy – Tetairoa McMillan (WR, Arizona)
Real choice: Carolina Panthers, 8th choice
Top 10 in the first mock, top 10 at the draft. This perfectly sums up the regular trajection that Tetairoa McMillan took. The slender recipient will become the preferential target of Bryce Young.
11. Seattle Seahawks – Malaki Starks (S, Georgia)
Real choice: Baltimore Ravens, 27th choice
Malaki Starks is and remains a player of the 1st round. The position where he plays him is surely served to claim a selection in the top 15. But, he does not fall that much since he is the 1st Safety called.
12. Indianapolis Colts – Will Johnson (CB, Michigan)
Real choice: Arizona Cardinals, 47th choice
Will Johnson would have been approximately selected at the level where he is placed during this 1st Mock if he did not have an injury during the process. Nevertheless, he is drafted and will become a masterpiece in Jonathan Gannon's system.
13. Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Benjamin Morrison (CB, Notre Dame)
Real choice: Tampa Bay Bucaneers, 53rd choice
Good team, but not the right choice. Like Will Johnson, Benjamin Morrison descends because of an injury. This does not prevent him from being selected and being an excellent complement to Jamal Dean.
14. Pittsburgh steelers – Jalen Milroe (QB, Alabama)
Real choice: Seattle Seahawks, 92nd choice
On alternating current in 2024, Jalen Milroe is logically not a choice of the first round. Despite his shortcomings, he remains young and will learn behind Sam Darnold.
15. Los Angeles Chargers – Mykel Williams (Edge, Georgia)
Real choice: San Francisco 49ers, 11th choice
The potential. It is on this criterion that Mykel Williams remains a choice of the 1st round despite an average season in Georgia. He will become the new friend of Nick Bosa on the Rush pass, but must be discipline.
16. Jacksonville Jaguars – Tyler Booker (OL, Alabama)
Real choice: Dallas Cowboys, 12th choice
The selections are in the right order, but not in the right place. After Mykel Williams, the following choice is Tyler Booker, except that he will go to Cowboys, not to the Jaguars.
17. Cleveland Browns – Luther Burden III (WR, Missouri)
Real choice: Chicago Bears, 39th choice
The 2024 Luther Burden III season has experienced ups and downs. He still remains a player with a certain potential, especially to be a real gadget. Ben Johnson, the new Bears coach, will be happy.
18. Los Angeles Rams – Emeka Egbuka (WR, Ohio State)
Real choice: Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 19th choice
Has a place. Very regular in Ohio State, Emeka Egbuka was the safe bet of this 1st round 1 year ago. A season later, university champion, he is an NFL player where he will not change the environment he has known in NCAA with talented recipients by his side.
19. New York Jets – Harold Perkins Jr. (LB, LSU)
Real choice: return to university
Wounded very early in the 2024 season, Harold Perkins made the logical choice to return to university. He is going to be one of the defensive captains of LSU's defense.
20. Chicago Bears – Abdul Carter (Edge, Penn State)
Real choice: New York Giants, 3rd choice
What progression for Abdul Carter, who improved his rating as a rusher pass. The 2024 season he made made him a choice of the Top 3 of the Draft NFL 2025. The giants rub their hands with a player who can only make improvement to an already qualitative rush pass.
21. Atlanta Falcons – Marvin Jones Jr. (Edge, Florida State)
Real choice: return to university
Nonexistent in 2024 in a gloomy season at Florida State, Marvin Jones Jr. returned to university. Less than an incredible season in 2025, he should not see the 1st round during the next draft.
22. Miami Dolphins – Tyleik Williams (DT, Ohio State)
Real choice: Detroit Lions, 28th choice
Regular and essential to Ohio State, Tyleik Williams retains his player status called in the 1st round. The Lions and Dan Campbell will enjoy an active and decisive player.
23. Green Bay Packers – Dontay Corleone (DT, Cincinnati)
Real choice: return to university
Author of a solid season in 2024 (3.5 Sacks), Dontay Corleone has chosen not to show up at the Draft. The Massive Nose Tackle returns to the University of Cincinnati before a probable registration at the 2026 cuvée.
24. Hosuton Texans – Tacario Davis (CB, Arizona)
Real choice: return to university and transfer to Washington
He suffered in Arizona in 2024, and it is therefore obvious that Tacario Davis still has to improve in university before embarking on the deep bath. For this, the large cornerback will not do it with the Wildcats, but in the Washington Huskies.
25. Philadelphia Eagles – Emery Jones Jr. (OL, LSU)
Real choice: Baltimore Ravens, 91st choice
Playing the opposite of Will Campbell, Emery Jones Jr. was much more exposed in his faults. Mobility and technique not yet to the point to slide it into the 3rd round.
26. Dallas Cowboys – Parker Brailsford (OL, Alabama)
Real choice: return to university
Center with a high football Qi, Parker Brailsford must still gain power if he wants to be drafted in 2026. The offensive line of Alabama will not lack talent and prospects for the Draft NFL 2026 (Brailsford, Proctor).
27. Buffalo Bills – Isaiah Bond (WR, Texas)
Real choice: not drafted
The disappointment for the Longhorns receiver. Very good in Alabama in 2023, he did not confirm in Texas in 2024 when the attack lacked an experience receiver. A quick receiver, he loses points during the Draft process because of an arrest 2 weeks before the event.
28. Cincinnati Bengals – Ollie Gordon II (RB, Oklahoma State)
Real choice: Miami Dolphins, 179th choice
New disappointment, except that he is drafted. Ollie Gordon II failed to make the test concretize after a monstrous season in 2023. Gaps in the vision of the game make him descend to form a duo with Devon Achane.
29. Detroit Lions – Tez Johnson (WR, Oregon)
Real choice: Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 235th choice
Another descent, that of Tez Johnson. Bo Nix's brother (QB, Broncos) disappointed during the tests in the combination. Small by size and hands, light, and a speed not at the NFL level are the many reasons explaining this descent. At least, he finished drafted in a team that advocates the aerial game.
30. Baltimore Ravens – Jonah Savaiinaea (OL, Arizona)
Real choice: Miami Dolphins, 37th choice
Despite a failed season collectively on the side of Arizona, Jonah Savaiinaea was able to remain solid. The Guard could have left in the 1st round, but is a top 50 player where he will protect another player from Polynesia, Tua Tagovailoa.
31. San Francisco 49ers – Barrett Carter (LB, Clemson)
Real choice: Cincinnati Bengals, 119th choice
Long considered one of the very good young Linebacker in the country, Barrett Carter could not revolutionize the post. Good athlete but nothing more, he can be a solid NFL player with the Bengals to bring order to this defense.
32. Kansas City Chiefs – Nic Scourton (Edge, Texas A & M)
Real choice: Carolina Panthers, 51st choice
By transferring to Texas A&M after a successful season in Purdue (10 Sacks), Nic Scourton had the fabric of a future top 15 of the next draft. It is not after an average season where he suffered more than dominated. This does not prevent the panthers from having taken it in the second round.
