Tyronn Lue forced to play for time with Paul George

As has been the case for a few days now, Paul George was seen in training on Friday, chaining the shots. Victim of a hyper extension at the level of the right knee on March 21, the Clippers winger is still far from being ready to return to the game.

Package for Game 1 of the first round of the playoffs in Phoenix this Sunday, PG will still have to pass several stages. If his coach Tyronn Lue underlined the progress of his protege, he could not give more information concerning a possible return.

” It’s encouraging. When you see the bad beating he received, it could have been much worse than it is. It feels good to be able to see him start to do some things, to feel better, because you never like to see a player get injured.” said the Clippers coach.

The latter relied on the expertise of his medical staff whose mission is to bring Paul George’s physical condition closer to 100%, otherwise the winger may not see the field again any time soon.

“We have one of the best medical staff in the league, and we will clearly not do anything that would hurt him more. Even if he forces to come back, from the moment when it’s not the right moment, we won’t let him go. Because we can’t let him hurt himself and make his case worse. When he comes back, we will have to make sure that he is close to 100% so that he does not get injured more”, added Tyronn Lue.
