The pistons put a layer in Chicago

No spanking, but a new large victory in Chicago for the pistons. This “back-to-back” at the United Center allows Detroit to leave on vacation with three matches above 50% of victories. It's unheard of this season, but also since 2006!

Unlike the day before, the Bulls had started the meeting well thanks to the cheek of Matas Buzelis, the creativity of Josh Giddey and the energy of Ayo Dosunmu. Opposite, Cade Cunningham makes cunningham Cade with this ability to tear the first curtain to go to the end or get the fault. For twenty minutes, it is a balanced match (57-57), and then the pistons will speed up.

It is first Jalen Duren who transforms an offensive rebound torn off by Ausar Thompson, then it is the metronome Tobias Harris who steals a ball and marks with the fault. The Thompson-Duren duo combines again near the circle, and the pistons join the locker room with seven points ahead (66-59).

A little accelerator is enough

The problem for Chicago is that Cunningham returns from the locker room with the same aggressiveness, and in less than five minutes, the pistons sign a 15-2 to get 21 points ahead! Coby White finds a 3-point address, but the pistons have their hands on the meeting, and Simone Fontecchio takes over to keep a comfortable advance (96-80).

In Chicago, Josh Giddey is at his best, but it lacks alternation, and the racket is locked. As a result, each close to each one or two “stops” is missing to go below 10 points apart. It is finally Dennis Schroder who gives a little accelerator while Jalen Duren signs one of the dunks of the evening after a three action with Cunningham and Thompson. After this dunk, the two teams will not even play the last minute!

What to remember

An anti-Beasley plan. The Bulls had decided to tighten the piston shooter very closely, and it worked rather well. They never gave him a space. The concern is that Cunningham took over to sanction from afar.

Reverse trajectories. Four victories in a row for the pistons, who do not let go of their 6th place, and four lingers in a row for the Bulls, who obviously digest the departure of Zach Lavine. Despite this, Chicago is still in the position of last qualified for the play-in.
