Rookies of the month | The hat-trick for Victor Wembanyama and Brandon Miller

If Chet Holmgren and Jaime Jaquez Jr. have experienced a slump since the turn of the new year, Victor Wembanyama (Spurs) and Brandon Miller (Hornets) have picked up the pace and, for the third consecutive month, here they are named Rookies of the month Of Marchto the West and to the East.

On the one hand, Victor Wembanyama averaged 23.2 points, 11.7 rebounds, 4.8 assists, 3.8 blocks and 1.2 interceptions over twelve games (four wins), 47% shooting (including 31% from 3-point range) and 75% on free throws, in nearly 32 minutes of play.

For the record, this is the first time since 1992/93 (Shaquille O'Neal and Alonzo Mourning) that a rookie has averaged at least 20 points, 10 rebounds and 3 blocks over two months in a row. The last NBA player to have achieved such a feat was Tim Duncan in 2002/03…
