Kyrie Irving signs at Anta as creative director!

The suspense is finally over. Sacked by Nike at the end of 2022 after promoting a film with anti-Semitic tropes on its social networks, Kyrie Irving joined the Chinese brand Anta and even became its creative director! The news was made official when the player was seen at his summer camp with Anta Shock Wave Pro 5 on his feet. We also learn that the brand is committed to managing the player’s camps around the world.

It’s a nice catch for Anta who offered a five-year contract as well as the position of creative director to the Dallas point guard who has also just extended to the Mavericks. Kyrie Irving’s signature shoe line has indeed multiplied success over the years at Nike.

“I am very enthusiastic about the idea of this collaboration”, said Kyrie Irving. “The first step to becoming partners is to share the same dreams, the same goals and the same missions. ANTA’s rapid development over the years, openness to creativity, willingness to integrate family and teamwork, expertise in areas such as product innovation and manufacturing processes have left a remarkable impression not only on me, but also on my A11Even team who will work side-by-side with me to create something truly generationally unique. »

Alongside Kyrie Irving, Anta also counts Klay Thompson and Gordon Hayward among its sponsored NBA players.
