James Johnson returns to strengthen the Pacers bench

After Taj Gibsonit is the return of another interior experience which was recorded Thursday evening with the signing of James Johnson to the Pacers until the end, revealed by Adrian Wojnarowski.

At 36 years old, this MMA specialist will play his 15th season in the NBA by joining the 15th and last place in Rick Carlisle's squad. A group that James Johnson knows well since he had a brief stint there last season, first in preseason, then at the end of the season, after the trade deadline.

Rick Carlisle appreciates having 'a very tough guy'

His contribution will not be too much in a racket that is still young where only Myles Turner is over 25 years old. His experience and intensity will also be valuable in coaching the Pacers' interior sector.

Last February, Rick Carlisle explained what he particularly appreciates about James Johnson. He contributed so much to our situation by leading by example, by being a mentor, by being very positive and very sincere. He has a big reputation in this league as a competitor, as a very tough guy. He's been an X-factor and it's great to have him back in our ranks.”.
