The receiver of the Marlins reaches his launcher in the head during the warm -up

It is not very brilliant what is happening in the Miami Marlins since the start of this campaign. And yesterday (Saturday) was no exception.

Indeed, the Marlins faced the Rays of Tampa Bay and for the launcher Ryan Weathers, the match was marked by an event which he will remember for a long time. And us too.

At his fifth start of the season, Weathers was hit the head by his own receiver. Yes yes, you read that right.

During the warm -up, Weathers launched his last shot and started leaving the mound. The recipient Nick Fortes then placed himself to launch the ball to the second goal in order to train against the attempts at theft.

But either Weathers walked where he was not supposed to do so, or strong completely missed his shot, because the launch ended up reaching Weathers directly at the head. The latter immediately fell to the ground in pain that seemed unbearable, but he still stayed in the match.

Ouch… let's say we don't see that often.

Admittedly, Weathers remained in the match, but he then granted four points in three work rounds before being withdrawn from the match, which made things difficult for the Marlins

The Florida representatives, however, found a way to save with the victory by the 11-10 brand, thus bringing their file to only 24 gains against 38 losses.

The two teams will cross the iron once again this afternoon (Sunday), while Anthony Veneziano and Drew Rasmussen will compete on the hill. Hopefully for them that their respective recipient will be more likely with his shots in the second cushion.
