Roman Anthony is one of the big hopes of the Red Sox. He may not have started the season in the middle fingers like Kristian Campbell, but quickly, his turn will come.
And in the meantime, he does what he can to convince his bosses to remind him.
In 15 games, he has four circuits and 12 points produced. It has an average of .283 and its 1,018 OPS demonstrates that it has really been breaking everything in its path for a few weeks.
Yesterday, he struck two circuits, including a large home.
That said, at the moment, the Red Sox have not exactly as a plan to remind Boston. In the short term, he will stay in Worcester in order to continue to develop in minors.
And there are two reasons that explain that.
- He is (a little) injured.
- There is no room for him.
Right now, Anthony has the shoulder pain, which means that he has been evolving as a hitter designated for a week. Before reminding it, the Red Sox will want him to restore his injury, which does not prevent him from hitting, but which prevents him from playing defensively.
