Two weeks ago, Doc Rivers implied that Tyrese Maxey may not play again before 2023, but it could be that the latter proves his coach wrong.
In effect, The Athletic reports that the back of Sixers would consider returning to competition this Friday, during a trip to New Orleans. Possibly in the shoes of the 6th man of the team, in order not to disturb the balance of the group (eight victories in a row) and to give him time to find his rhythm.
As a reminder, Tyrese Maxey (22.9 points, 3.5 rebounds and 4.4 assists on average with Philadelphia this season) has been absent since mid-November and his small fracture of the left foot contracted against the Bucks. He was originally expected to miss three to four weeks following the injury, but his recovery has lagged.
