“SEAT PLEASANT”, the third color of the KD 18 has arrived

Nike is at tribute time with the KD 18. After launching an “Air Bakin” color, inspired by the Nike Air Bakin, released in 1996, here is a “Seat Pleasant” color which comes to dive back in the first years of Kevin duringwho grew up on the side of Seat Pleasant in Maryland.

This “Smart City” version of the KD 18 displays a rod with a gray base and with bright blue mesh, enhanced with fluorescent green keys on the laces, the Swoosh logo, the KD branding on the tab and the “Easy” pastille on the heel.

On the technical side, the KD 18 combines an Air Zoom unit in the forefoot and a nike air cushioning in the heel, for an optimal energy return. A rigid plastic plate under the foot ensures stability and responsiveness, while a side cage reinforces the maintenance, as a KD now 36 years old.

As in the United States, the Nike KD 18 “Seat Pleasant” is available in France, on Basket4ballers at a price of 160 euros.

Our KD 18 verdict

Nike has taken a new turn from the KD 15 to continue to best support Kevin's needs, especially in terms of maintenance, stability, and comfort. As it is written on the box: “Designed for Kevin's exact specificities during”.

The fireworks to guarantee good support have taken different forms in recent years, to arrive at this TPU cage in strips going as far as eyelets to properly compress the foot. This is a point that not all models in the “slasher” style should not neglect, and KD seems to have understood this.

On the technical side, with also optimal grip and a good balance in the sole between comfort and responsiveness, the KD 18 remains up to its high -end model status.

To ensure his promotion, Kevin Durant has been on vacation since the start of the playoffs. His main ambassador is therefore Chet Holmgren, who wore the color “New Stalgia” during the series against Memphis.
