Will Robertson recalled by the Blue Jays: a message to other hopes

Blue Jays announced that they have placed Nathan Lukes on the injured list for a concussion. This means that the club could afford to recall another player.

It was finally Will Robertson, a hope drafted in 2019, who takes his place in the alignment of 26 players. This is his first career reminder.

He will not be alignment from the day … But for a little guy who grew up as a fan of the cardinals, being in the major in the city of Saint-Louis is something.

Here it is, the alignment of the day. Addison Barger will not be there, which is ridiculous … but good.

Robertson had to see his family in Buffalo at the end of the week, but his parents turned around when he told them that it was finally in Saint-Louis that he would be for the Blue Jays match.

He also said that he learned of his promotion after an error in the AAA. He tried to stretch a double triple (without success) and his manager asked him to explain himself. And when Robertson did, Casey Candaele cut him to tell him that he was going to the major. #Wow

But me, what I remember from this is that the Blue Jays recalled Robertson before a hope like Joey Loperfido, for example.

You will tell me that Robertson may warm the bench more than anything else and it is probably not wrong. After all, the club was looking for depth and not a regular.

But if a young person had stood out to the point of deserving a reminder, it would have been done. This is a pre-champ player at the Will Wagner or whether it is a voltiseur.

The efforts are rewarded in Toronto and the hopes of the club must see it, more than ever.

  • Official: Max Scherzer in Buffalo Friday.
  • Who is the most dangerous striker?
  • Marcus Stroman in the AA today.
  • Finally, it helps tigers.
