Trent Brown decided to play the stability card. ESPN announces that the tackle has signed a new two-year contract with the Patriots, which he had found in a trade from the Raiders last season.
The financial amount of this new agreement is not yet known.
Drafted by the 49ers, Brown then shone with the Patriots for a season in 2018, with a title at stake. Left for the Raiders against a huge contract during free agency, he had a mixed experience between Oakland and Vegas for a season and a half, before being recovered by Bill Belichick during the 2021 campaign.
His return makes it possible to have a very solid tackle to protect Mac Jones on the right side. As a reminder, it is Isaiah Wynn who is responsible for protecting the blind side of the young pitcher.
