Tom Brady could become (minority) owner of the Raiders

Tom Brady has never played for the Raiders, he’s not from Las Vegas, but he gets along very well with Mark Davis. The two men already made deal a few weeks ago when Brady bought shares in the Las Vegas Aces, a WNBA franchise.

The next step ? Davis’ crown jewel: the Raiders.

According to ESPN, Brady is currently in “advanced” discussions to become a minority owner of the Las Vegas NFL team.

Discussions are said to have been ongoing for several weeks and are still ongoing.

Be careful, Brady should not suddenly appear in the organization chart of the franchise. This would be a passive participation, which would not involve any operational role. If an agreement is reached between the seven-time champion and Davis, it will then take a vote from the other owners to validate the arrival of Brady in the capital of the Raiders. Given the image contribution of seeing a legend invest in a franchise, this would surely be a formality.

FOX Sports, which is expected to employ Brady as a consultant beginning in 2024, has reportedly given its blessing to the investment.
