The Browns assure that they want to keep Myles Garrett

Myles Garrett's last official statement has something to trigger passions through the NFL. The best defender of the title league was very clear on his wish to leave Cleveland in order to satisfy his desires of title (s).

However, on the side of the Ohio franchise, things do not seem so simple. Last week, the general manager of Browns Andrew Berry announced that the Defensive End is not available for an exchange, even against two first -round choices of the Draft.

Si.com and NFL Network contacted the club following the Garrett declaration, and the displayed position remains the same. There is no question of discussing his departure with anyone.

“We are not listening to the offers,” said an internal source of the franchise at CBS.

A showdown between Myles Garrett and the Browns?

Nevertheless, by the publication of his announcement, Garrett made his intention official and public. It therefore seems likely that the other NFL teams are forcing to clarify the situation, and can be playing the lever to recover one of the most dominant defenders of its generation.

Because Garrett is only 29 years old, and his multiple All-Pro and Pro Bowls selections can only attract multiple contenders. He has two years of contract with Cleveland, but with the evolution of the market he can also claim a top salary revised upwards. And even if the Browns and Berry have announced negotiations to extend it and keep it in Ohio, will the club be able to align financially while the sports plan already seems compromised? Because Garrett is still under contract for 2025 and 2026. Then he will be free.

There is therefore no doubt that the case will be to be followed in the coming months, because after such a blow of radiance the rumors cannot go out from a snap of the fingers. In the meantime, the possible partners are already emerging from the American media: Pro Football Focus envisages already that the lions, falconons or commanders can rush to the occasion.
