If you liked the Quarterback series, here is Receiver.
This Tuesday, Netflix announces its new series around the NFL: “Receiver”. Like “Quarterback,” the series is produced by NFL Films, 2PM Productions and Peyton Manning’s company, Omaha Productions. For the moment the broadcast date has not been specified but, according to NFL media, there will be eight episodes and it will be for the summer of 2024.
In July 2023, the Sheriff had already announced that the video-on-demand platform had renewed the program for a second season. However, before the start of the 2023 season, several quarterbacks announced their refusal to participate in the series.
Thus, Receiver will highlight the 2023 season of: Davante Adams (WR, Raiders), Justin Jefferson (WR, Vikings), George Kittle (TE, 49ers), Deebo Samuel (WR, 49ers) and Amon-Ra St. Brown ( WR, Lions).
With these five players, it will be the opportunity to follow very different 2023 seasons. A season that was disappointing for Adams' Raiders. The Vikings had to adapt following injuries to Kirk Cousins (QB) and Justin Jefferson. Amon-Ra St. Brown participated in Detroit's historic playoff victories. And the 49ers failed in the Superbowl against the Chiefs.
