Rams separate from Cooper Kupp

Cooper Kupp (WR) and Rams are officially finished. According to Tom Pelissero, Californian leaders informed the receiver of their decision on Wednesday. The announcement is anything but surprising since the first rumors on the subject go back more than a month. The Rams first looked for an exchange before turning to the pure and simple liberation of the player, for lack of convincing supply.

At 31, Cooper Kupp will therefore have to find a new team, for the first time in his career. The veteran was still under contract with Los Angeles until 2026, when he would have become a book agent.

Cooper Kupp, one last for the road?

Cooper Kupp has known everything in his career since 2017. Winner of the Super Bowl LVI in 2021, he had particularly distinguished himself by obtaining the title of MVP of the meeting. Always individually, he was crowned offensive player of the year in 2021. During this season, Kupp had indeed acquired the famous Triple Crown recipients. He was the leader in yards at the reception, in touchdowns and in number of receptions.

A little loss of speed in recent seasons, Kupp remains a seasoned player, having great experience. In twelve games this year, he compiled 65 receptions, 710 yards and 6 touchdowns. Even if he can probably no longer claim a number one position, he could relieve several teams seeking to go far in the playoffs. Or maybe he will choose retirement. All doors are open to Cooper Kupp.
