The Steelers extend their GM Omar Khan until 2028
Pittsburgh Steelers extended their Omar Khan sports director until 2028, according to ESPN. In office since 2022, Khan has been working for the franchise for 25 years, first as manager of the management of the Salary Cap and then as director of the football strategy, before succeeding Kevin Colbert as GM.
Under his direction, the Steelers display a balance sheet of 29-22 and two consecutive qualifications in Playoffs. Art Rooney II, president of the franchise, praised “the quality of construction of the roster” via the draft, the trades and the free agency. And for good reason: this year, Omar Khan struck hard with the arrivals of DK Metcalf, Jalen Ramsey, Aaron Rodgers or Darius Slay.
The duo he forms with Mike Tomlin – also extended until 2027 – intends to bring back a new superbowl to Pittsburgh.
Bills and James Cook can't do it
According to ESPN, James Cook (RB) and the Bills do not advance in their discussion for an extension. The media reports, however, that the franchise remains optimistic about a signing of the runner before the start of the season.

According to Fox 5 DCif the Washington Council does not quickly unlock the funds necessary for the construction of the future command stadium by 2030, the franchise would consider a “plan B”: calling on the federal executive, including President Donald Trump and the Congress, to force the advance of the project. The president of the Council, Phil Mendelson, confirmed that he has heard of this alternative.
