[Fantasy] Week 4: for Olave the affront

It’s the return of the Fantasy section on DNA of Sports, every Saturday find our tips, our favorites, and the pitfalls to avoid.

Did you miss your start to the season, three defeats in as many matches? Are you mocked by your opponents? It’s time to take revenge and rain down the points.

The absents

The weeks follow one another and sores with it. Several holders will be absent for this 4th week. Early-season receiver darling Amon Ra St Brown is forfeited and will leave a significant void for both the Lions and the fantasy managers who believed in him. Another notable absentee, runner David Montgomery. Released at the start of the game last week, he is not back to challenge the Giants. In New York precisely, the receivers are on the flank and leave Daniel Jones always more alone.

Quarterbacks

The safe bet: Russell Wilson. The click time for Wilson? After three more than sluggish matches, a division duel against a bottom-of-the-table defense should allow Russell to become “Dangerous” again. The connection with Sutton works and Jerry Jeudy is back. The Raiders gave up at least 20 points to opposing quarterbacks, boding well for an offense that needs a benchmark game.
The bet: Trevor Lawrence. It is the name which rises, including in fantasy. The great hope confirms his potential at the start of the season with serious and solid performances. With 23 points on average, he stands out as a powerful starter. But against the undefeated Eagles, the match up will still be a cut above. Lawrence will still have to raise the slider. Well surrounded, he seems to be capable of it.
Avoid: Matt Stafford. Behind a still uncertain and irregular line, Matt Stafford should be regularly under pressure from the solid defense of the 49ers, Nick Bosa in the lead. Even with Cooper Kupp, the quarterback should once again be limited in his performance and therefore statistics.

Running back

The safe bet: Jamaal Williams. With D’Andre Swift highly uncertain, his understudy should take the light. Already terribly effective last week after the injury of his teammate, Williams makes his versatility speak for him. Very effective in goal line, he also knows how to gain yards thanks to his physique and his efforts. He also knows how to be a reliable solution out of the backfield. Something to score big points again.
The bet: Breece Hall. The rookie is gaining momentum. Last week he was used more than his friend Michael Carter for the first time. His versatility can be a very big asset in the PPR leagues.
Avoid: Clyde Edwards-Helaire. With 9 points conceded per game and less than 80 yards, the challenge looks tough for the rider from Missouri. Too. Still lacking regularity in his performances, and facing Vita Vea then Devin White in 2nd blade, the evening is likely to be long.

Receivers

The safe bet: Chris Olave. The most productive receiver among the rookies, Olave is only missing a touchdown. Minnesota’s rough backfield, which has been very generous with opposing receivers in the past few weeks, could be an ideal playground for Olave to give you a major boost in your game of the week.
The bet: DJ Chark. The Lions attack is the good surprise of this start to the season. But with Amon Ra St. Brown out, DJ Chark will be the number one aerial threat. If his connection with Goff is not yet perfect, the Seahawks defense could be a favorable playground to put on yards and points.
Avoid: Allen Lazard. While Green Bay’s offense is getting better, it’s not yet back to air firepower. And against the Patriots, an Allen Lazard still diminished by his ankle could be well contained. The emergence of Romeo Doubs now offers another credible alternative to Rodgers and the Packers’ running game should also be brought back into focus. Enough to leave Lazard warm on the bench.

Tight-end

The safe bet: Zach Ertz. Depopulated as a receiver, Kyler Murray should continue to rely on his tight end to move the chains. Targeted 21 times in the last two matches, the PPR leagues will be delighted with the contribution of the former Eagle.
The bet: Daniel Bellinger. It is the rising value in the attack of the Giants. Propelled number 1 with the injury of Seals-Jones, the rookie takes each game a little more thickness in the game. The combined injuries of Shephard and Toney should involve him even more.
Avoid: Dawson Knox. Less involved than last season, Knox suffered from the plethora of targets available to Josh Allen and in particular the excellent form of Stefon Diggs. Only 9 balls caught and 71 yards in 3 matches, the performance is far from profitable for a holder. The largely crumbly Ravens defensive backfield could also provide a long-playing playing field more favorable to receivers than to Buffalo’s tight ends.

Top 5 waivers of the week

1. Khalil Herbert – RB
2. Romeo Doubs – WR
3. Mack Hollins – WR
4. Daniel Bellinger – TE
5. Andy Dalton – QB

The Griz’League

And 1, and 2, and 3-0, it’s easy when you’re talking about a football world champion, but it’s the record of Antoine who made the perfect start to the season by winning the head of Romain, still defending champion, but badly embarked at the start of the campaign. Two other undefeated, Mathieu who sweeps Alexandre very easily, and Marc who continues, carried by a found Derrick Henry and inflicts his first defeat on Tiffany.

Victor unlocks his counter against Gregory who is still trying to pass the 100 point mark for the first time this season. Ditto for Xavier who achieves the 2nd best performance of the week thanks to a “great” Marquise Brown and the surprise Jamal Williams. Cruel defeat for Alain for less than half a point. Betrayed by his riders, he is no longer undefeated.
