[Fantasy] Week 12: wriggling dolphins

It’s the return of the Fantasy section on DNA of Sports, every Saturday find our tips, our favorites, and the pitfalls to avoid.

The absents

No team in bye in this week 12, but injuries that accumulate. Matt Stafford again in concussion protocol is forfeited. Having become a strong man in recent weeks, Justin Fields is now on the flank and should be out for a while.

Among the runners, Joe Mixon is in concussion protocol and could be forced to forfeit. Barely recovered, Mike Williams returns to the list of absentees due to an ankle problem which left a bitter taste to the managers who counted on him at the start of the season.

Quarterbacks

The safe bet: Tua Tagovailoa. Back from a week off, and facing the worst team in the league, Tua should resume his march forward. And even if the Texans concede few fantasy points to opposing pitchers, the trio that the quarterback forms with Waddle and Hill should lead him well beyond 20 points.
The bet: Derek Carr. Favorable matchup for the Raiders quarterback. Productive in fantasy despite the performance of his team with 3 games in a row at more than 21 points. He challenges a Seahawks defense that remains on 4 games with more than 20 points conceded to opposing pitchers. A bet for which we can be tempted.
Avoid: Russell Wilson. We stopped believing in Russell Wilson, or his coach, or both. Better to keep it only as a backup in case of a hard blow.

Running back

The safe bet: Jeff Wilson. This is a successful integration. Barely two games to play since arriving in Miami and Wilson has already established himself in the Dolphins system. Two touchdowns in two games and a solid alternative to aerial play, he should still do damage (and points) against Houston.
The bet: Cam Akers. Darrell Henderson cut earlier this week, Akers de facto took the lead in the Rams attack. With Stafford on the flank again this week, Sean McVay could limit the inexperienced Bryce Perkins, 3rd pitcher in the hierarchy and favor his ground game.
Avoid: AJ Dillon. With a coach who does not know if he should run or pass, it is difficult to know the workload that AJ Dillon will have. If we add to that an Eagles defensive line reinforced by two ground defense specialists, it is better to pass on the Packers runner.

Receivers

The safe bet: Brandon Aiyuk. If he has not passed once the 100 yards of the season, Ayiuk is nonetheless productive due to his role in the attack of the 49ers.
The bet: Skyy Moore. With the carnage in Mahomes’ target squad, the rookie should finally have an important role. He showed last week that he could respond when given a chance. Faced with demotivated Rams (see demobilized), Moore could have spaces to collect the points.
Avoid: Christian Watson. Never two without three ? Nothing is less sure. Despite two excellent matches in the past two weeks, the very good defense of the Eagles is warned and will watch it like milk on fire. A cornerback duo still too strong for the young receiver.

Top 5 waivers of the week

1. Austin Hooper – TE
2. Cam Akers – RB
3. Demarcus Robinson – WR
4. Skyy Moore – WR
5. Sam Darnold – QB

The Griz’League

Two duels at the top punctuated week 11. The first four, all tied, met. Antoine carried by Adams and Kittle disposed of Alain, while Elioth clearly won against Tiffany. The two joint leaders could ensure their place in the wild card at least this weekend.

Behind it is the big fight in the peloton. Here too a group of four is competing for the last two qualifying places. Victor confirmed his current good form by beating Brice, as was Romain who continued his comeback with a 3rd win in a row by beating Gregory by a short header.

Marc, well helped by rookie Chris Olave, also remains in the game with a 6-5 record. Xavier loses ground after a heavy defeat on Alex who keeps a slim hope of seeing the final stages.
