Cowboys – Lions (24-6): Detroit did anything

Dallas Cowboys (5-2) – Detroit Lions (1-5): 24-6

The Lions led 6-3 at the break. Next ? They did just about anything. An interception from Jared Goff (21/26, 228 yards, 2 int) first, before Dallas returned to the ground (10-6). Then a fumble one yard from the end zone, another interception, and two more fumbles! In total, five balls lost in one half.

In the middle of this scuttling in good standing, Ezekiel Elliott (15 races, 57 yards, 2 TDs) scored twice to put the game out of reach (17-6). And Peyton Hendershot (2 rec, 5 yards, 1 TD) showed up to close the deal (24-6).

Dak Prescott tiptoes back

If it was celebrating the return of its leader, the Dallas attack really did not celebrate it on the field. With only three punts, a field goal and a fumble in the opposing field, the start-up was more than laborious.

Dak Prescott (19/25, 207 yards, 1 TD) provided the essentials, not losing the ball himself, but it was above all the ground game that made the difference. By dint of hammering, Dallas wore out, and Dallas scored.

In a rather balanced game statistically, the balls lost in a mess by Detroit made the difference. And it is also to the credit of a always opportunistic Cowboys defense. Micah Parsons registers another sack, and Trevon Diggs another interception.

With five wins, the Cowboys are more than ever in the running for the NFC playoffs. Their defense and their ground game serve as a basis, Dak Prescott only has to find the rhythm with CeeDee Lamb (4 rec, 70 yards) and the others.

The Lions had obviously given everything at the start of the season, even if the absence of D’Andre Swift and the exit of Amon-Ra. St Brown (1 rec, 4 yards) with a concussion did not necessarily help.
