The Pistons will celebrate the 2004 NBA champions

The Detroit public has not often had the opportunity to party in recent years, but the most loyal Pistons fans should meet on March 17. It was that evening, for the Heat reception, that the leaders decided to celebrate twenty years of the title won in 2004 against the Lakers. The last of the franchise.

The ceremony will begin with a “ Walk of Champions » before the match in the lobby of the Little Ceasars Arena so that fans can get as close as possible to the players. Then, a half-time ceremony is planned with a video tribute, in-match interviews with the players and highlights of the 2004 season.

As a bonus, the first 5,000 spectators present will receive a commemorative 20th anniversary poster.

The question is who will be there on March 17. Coached by Larry Brown, the champion squad included Chauncey Billups, Richard Hamilton, Ben Wallace, Rasheed Wallace, Tayshaun Prince, Corliss Williamson, Lindsey Hunter, Mehmet Okur, Mike James, Elden Campbell, Darvin Ham, Darko Milicic and Tremaine Fowlkes.

Today coaches in the NBA, Billups (Blazers) and Ham (Lakers) are not playing this March 17, but the Blazers and the Lakers are playing March 16 and 18, and it is therefore possible that they will both be present this that evening.
