The old Pistons play a very bad trick on Detroit

As is often the case with afternoon games in the United States, things didn’t go off with a bang. That’s especially true for the Clippers, who have no rhythm and don’t put a shot.

After five minutes of play, Los Angeles has still scored only 2 points and Detroit therefore takes off. There are already 18 points ahead for the Pistons (44-26) in the second quarter, but Marcus Morris returns some complicated shots and, finally, the troop of Tyronn Lue is not too unhooked (53-39 ) at halftime.

Above all, Los Angeles is used to comebacks this season. Like Reggie Jackson, who multiplied the useless grigri at the start of the meeting without any effectiveness, the Clippers finally find offensive rhythm on the return from the locker room. And as their defense is still solid, the Pistons see their lead melt away. Cade Cunningham nevertheless made his match, and Jerami Grant planted a few shots, but there were only 2 small points difference (72-70) at the start of the last round between the two teams.

And it’s the old Pistons that will make the difference. The fatal weapon of the “comebacks” of Los Angeles, Luke Kennard, thus continues the shots to continue to undermine the morale of his former team, while the Jackson / Morris duo takes over to snatch a new success (106-102) complicated.

WHAT YOU MUST REMEMBER

The Clippers’ awful start to the game. A game in the early afternoon on the East Coast is equivalent to a game in the late morning for the Californian organizations, and it was seen with this disastrous start to the game and without any rhythm. Fortunately Detroit was not in great shape either because the gap (13-2) after five minutes could have been much more handicapping for Tyronn Lue and his troop.

The old Pistons as executioners. If Marcus Morris (31 points) held his team at arm’s length in the first half, it was Luke Kennard who hurt his former team the most at the end of the match, with 11 points to a perfect 4 / 4 shooting in the final quarter. And since Reggie Jackson also woke up…

Los Angeles, king of the comeback. There are countless Clippers comebacks this season. Still trailing by 18 points, they still managed to come back to win after this failed start. This team is really in the reaction, but it is really in these situations that it is the best.

TOPS/FLOPS

Marcus Morris. Without Paul George and Kawhi Leonard, Tyronn Lue reiterates that the Clippers’ offensive game relies on Reggie Jackson and Marcus Morris. The first was not on his plate at the start of the match, and it was therefore the second who somehow carried the attack of Los Angeles, with 31 points in total.

Luke Kennard. He went through the first three quarters like a ghost, before catching fire in the last period to hurt his old team very badly. He loves comebacks.

Cade Cunningham. He has really become the boss of the Pistons and his choices are more and more fair. He missed a small rebound to achieve a triple-double, and especially the victory. He might have been able to play even more for him when the Clippers took over.

The start of the game. For those who want to watch the match in replay, you can skip the first quarter, or even the first half.
