Opposite, the young guard from Orlando felt that there was something to play for when the baskets of the opposing “franchise player” were not enough for the Mavericks to take control of the match. It was even Orlando who made the difference, twice, in the second half, even if the Texans were very close to leaving with victory.

✅ Luka Doncic. If he lost 6 balls, the Slovenian still made rain and shine for his team, with his 7th triple-double of the season. In the end, his line of stats is very complete with 34 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists, 13/22 in shooting including 4/9 from afar and the best +/- of the match: +11!
✅ Franz Wagner. He doesn’t really look like a rookie when the Magic throw him balls in isolation to get the win. 18 points at 9/15 in the end for him.
⛔ Dallas circle’s lack of protection. With Floridian shooters struggling (9/31 in aggregate for the trio Anthony – Suggs – Ross), the Magic insisted in the paint, where the absence of Kristaps Porzingis was felt. Access to the circle has long been far too easy for the Magic.
