Steve Kerr continues to defend Klay Thompson

While Stephen Curry needs support, Klay Thompson is struggling to enter his season. Tonight, in the loss to Charlotte, the All-Star back again made a more than average copy with 11 points on 5 of 14 on shots, including 1 of 7 from 3-pointers. Klay Thompson ends with the worst +/- of the game: -16!

“He only played one game in pre-season, and under normal conditions that should be the end of the friendlies period for him” recalls the coach of the Warriors. “He has to stay on this line and everything will be fine. »

And Steve Kerr to recall that at the beginning of the year, we found the same type of comments on Klay Thompson during his return to competition. For the Golden State coach, it’s an equivalent situation.

“Last season, when he came back from injury, people said he wasn’t the same. Except that he scored 30 points and more six times, he was very good in the playoffs. Clay was amazing! He had had complicated evenings in shooting, but Klay had been amazing at the end. Once he got his legs back, he made some huge matches. So it will all come back… He just needs to get his legs back. »

No worries with Steve Kerr, but still a question: will Klay Thompson play tonight against Detroit? Since his return last January, he has been exempt from back-to-back.

We will see tonight if he is allowed to play against the Pistons, or if he is still too physically fair.
