Stephen Curry’s big anger against a referee

Three technical fouls in the first quarter alone! That’s the Warriors’ record, and it’s a rare stat. It must be said that the referees had the whistle in their mouths this night since they will whistle nine throughout the evening: six for the Warriors and three for the Bucks.

But back to this first quarter. It was first Jordan Poole who got the first after complaining about a non-whistling contact on a lay-up. We are in the middle of the quarter.

The second is for Stephen Curry who complains of having been hit in the head by a defender. The leader, who scored on the action, gets carried away with the referees after the next possession of the Bucks. He takes a technique, then gets angry, and Steve Kerr, who came to support him, also takes his technique.

“Steph Curry is hit in the head on a 3-point shot, it must be whistled” says Steve Kerr. ” That’s what he does. It’s Steph Curry. You can’t miss a foul like that. I was frustrated because if Steph takes a technique, it’s because there was a foul, and I was already frustrated by a few more missed whistles. »

After the match, Stephen Curry preferred to be ironic…

“It’s a pretty funny situation to see a referee not whistling when the defender asks me: ‘Are you okay?’ Obviously I was hit, and I was surprised…” he says. “But hey, it was in the heat of the moment, and the emotions came out. But I wasn’t the only one…”

But Stephen Curry assures that the Warriors did not lose because of it. “We tried to get out of it, but I don’t think we were disturbed by the refereeing. It was just one problem among many. We are not yet a good team…”
