Stats & Highlights | The Pacers finally win, the Suns victorious but worried | NBA
February 17, 2022
The Pacers remained on seven straight losses, so this success against Washington is good. The Spurs and the Bulls, especially DeMar DeRozan, have done the work to impose themselves in the “money time”.
Just like the Suns, against the Rockets, who continue to win with a seventh straight victory, but it tastes a little bitter: expelled in the course of the game, Chris Paul is hit in the hand.

The Pacers had not won in February, it’s finally done! They took control of the game in the second quarter, before scoring six straight points late in the third quarter and taking a thirteen-point lead.
The Wizards remain dangerous and, in the last act, after a basket from Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, they are only a small point away. The Pacers reacted well with a 6-0 and despite the shots from “KCP”, Indiana won with 21 points and 14 assists from Tyrese Haliburton.
Josh Giddey can chain the triple-double well, it’s his third in a row, he is very alone without Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Lu Dort. The Spurs finished this five-game “road trip” very well, with a controlled first half (fifteen points ahead).
The Thunder reacted in the third quarter, to return to eight points before the last act, against a very clumsy Texan team (6/22 to shoot in this quarter). San Antonio then thought to have killed the game by taking a 16-point lead, but the Thunder launched their last forces. Theo Maledon (22 points) scores important free throws and steals a precious ball, but Oklahoma City misses in the last gesture.
DeMar DeRozan is still unstoppable right now. The guard scored 38 points and this is his eighth straight game over 30 units. The game was disputed and it was in the “money time” that the All-Star delivered the Bulls.
He scored an award-winning basket to give Chicago a five-point lead. Two minutes later, his basket with the fault spreads a little more Kings supported by Domantas Sabonis. The former Raptors was also assisted by Coby White, 31 points, including 13 in the last quarter.
After a first half with 43 free throws, the second period opened with a double event: Chris Paul was hit in the hand and, angry, he was sent off.
The Suns are doing well nonetheless, with award-winning baskets from Torrey Craig and Aaron Holiday, going 12-0 to take a six-point lead early in the final quarter. Mikal Bridges drives the point home a few minutes later with a basket then an offensive rebound which turns into a layup. The Rockets will have one last chance to tie, but Eric Gordon misses by 3-pts.
