Stats & Highlights | The Mavericks tear off, Devin Booker has fun, CJ McCollum returns | NBA
January 18, 2022
The Magic and its public are still waiting, since December 1st, for a victory at the Amway Center… It was Portland and CJ McCollum, who was making a comeback, who deprived the Floridians of a success.
For their part, the Mavericks had a very complicated end to the match against the Thunder, but the inaccuracies of OKC made it possible to win. Finally, a dream evening for Devin Booker, author of 48 points against San Antonio.
Boston–New Orleans New York–Charlotte Washington–Philadelphia Cleveland–Brooklyn LA Clippers–Indiana Memphis–Chicago Atlanta–Milwaukee Miami–Toronto LA Lakers–Utah
Orlando–Portland: 88-98
Quiet and winning return for CJ McCollum. The back found the floors after 17 missed matches and six weeks in the infirmary. He scored 16 points in 28 minutes in a game folded by the Blazers in the second period.
Portland had already come a long way at the break, up 14 points, but with three award-winning baskets from Ben McLemore, the Chauncey Billups went 16-2 in the third quarter. There are then twenty points difference and the last quarter is well managed.

Dallas–Oklahoma City: 104-102
A few unnecessary scares for the Mavericks, but the victory is at the end of this evening against the Thunder. Luka Doncic was brilliant with another triple-double (20 points, 12 assists and 11 rebounds) and it all came down to the final seconds. The Mavs had yet managed a solid game, with more than twenty points ahead in the third quarter, after a 13-0. But we know that Oklahoma City loves to go up gaps.
In the last thirty seconds, there are still four points between the two teams. The Thunder do the job and return to a possession, with a ball to equalize.
But a misunderstanding between Josh Giddey and Mike Muscala gives Dallas an easy basket. However, as the Texans are fragile on the free throw line, the Thunder will still have a match point a few seconds later. Except that once again, the Giddey – Muscala connection is not good.

San Antonio–Phoenix: 107-121
The Suns tired because in “back-to-back”, Devin Booker was the energy supplier of a private team of Deandre Ayton. With 18 points in the first quarter, the back launched his teammates well, who were a little in difficulty to start the game.
Then Chris Paul and Bismack Biyombo helped him very well. In the last quarter, the Suns accelerate and the Spurs skate. At the worst time and in two minutes, they lost three balls. The 2021 finalists easily win the final quarter as well as the game, and Devin Booker finishes with 48 points.
