On November 28, 1992, Reggie Miller passed 57 points to the Hornets

It’s still the franchise record for Indiana. On November 28, 1992, Pacers with a negative record (5 wins – 6 losses) went to Charlotte to face the troupe of Alonzo Mourning, Larry Johnson and Muggsy Bogues.

Disappointed not to have been taken in the “Dream Team”, and now deprived of Chuck Person, Reggie Miller can on the other hand count on the rise in power of Rik Smits and Detlef Schrempf, but it is he who will illuminate the meeting against Charlotte, achieving his career high: 57 points, 8 assists and 5 rebounds!

However, the shooter starts slowly, with only 7 points in the first quarter. He is even countered by David Wingate and no one imagines the explosion when he goes to rest on the bench.

But when he comes back, in the middle of the second quarter, it’s a festival. In 15 minutes, straddling the second and third quarters, Reggie Miller will score 43 points! Enough to allow the Pacers to spin towards victory (134-122) and the person concerned to validate his reputation as a gunner for good.

The line of stats is thus very beautiful with a 16/29 in shooting (4/11 from 3-pointers) and 21/23 in free throws in 38 minutes.
