This time it’s the right one! Passed by the G-League team of Oklahoma City Blue, then signed by the Thunder via two ten-day contracts at the end of December then at the beginning of January, Olivier Sarr should finish the 2021/22 season within the OKC franchise since he has just signed a “two-way contract”, offering him the possibility of evolving with the reserve team in the G-League but also with the first team in the NBA. The spot was vacated by Aaron Wiggins, who recently signed a four-year contract with the Thunder.
Passed by the University of Wake Forest (2017-2020) then by Kentucky for his senior year, Olivier Sarr had not been selected during the last Draft.
In 23 games played in the G-League with OKC Blue, the pivot averaged 7.7 points, 5.8 rebounds in just over 15 minutes per game. Olivier Sarr could therefore benefit from a new chance to show himself in a second part of the season which will still be conducive to the development of young people on the side of the Thunder.
