Nikola Jokic named Western Conference Finals MVP

For the second year, the NBA awarded the Magic Johnson Trophy for the MVP of the Western Conference Finals. And it is Nikola Jokic who succeeds Stephen Curry on the list, ending the series against the Lakers in a triple-double!

This is also his 8th triple-double of the playoffs, which allows him to beat Wilt Chamberlain’s record for the number of triple-doubles made in a single postseason campaign. He is also the first player in history to average more than 20 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists in a conference final…

His stats on the series? 27.8 points, 14.5 rebounds, 11.8 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.3 blocks on average, 51% shooting success including 47% 3-pointers and 78% free throw success.

What allow him to be preferred to Jamal Murray, who also shone during this sweep against Los Angeles.

The playmaker, for his part, averaged 32.5 points, 6.3 rebounds, 5.3 assists and 2.8 steals, with 53% shooting success, including 41% at 3-point range.
