NCAA | March madness hits the Big Ten hard

Respectively 1st and 2nd in the Big Ten at the end of the regular season, Illinois and Wisconsin did not last long in the conference tournament! Faced with Indiana and Michigan State, who were clearly not favorites and had nothing to lose, the first two seeds were jostled and took the door in their first game. March madness at its finest!

The Badgers’ “freshman”, Johnny Davis, had a nightmare evening despite a double-double (11 points and 11 rebounds) in the end: 3/19 on shots, 3 bullet losses and 4 fouls! On the side of the Spartans, it was a veteran, the pivot Marcus Bingham Jr, who did the most damage: 19 points (7/11), 11 rebounds and 3 blocks.

Now a surprise guest in the semi-finals, Tom Izzo’s Spartans will face Purdue and the excellent Jaden Ivey, while the Hoosiers of former Knicks coach and assistant Mike Woodson will try to create a new exploit against the solid Iowa roster and serial scorer, winger Keegan Murray.
