Knee operated, Daniel Theis is absent until further notice at the Pacers

Will Daniel Theis ever wear the Pacers jersey? Arrived in Indiana this summer as part of Malcolm Brogdon’s transfer to the Celtics, the German interior has still not played this season.

Worse, he has just had surgery to resolve the pain he has been feeling in his right knee since EuroBasket.

The former Celtics, Rockets and Bulls player is therefore absent “until further notice”. For Rick Carlisle, it is probably not very serious, the team being in reconstruction and the club having something to do inside, with Myles Turner, Goga Bitadze, Jalen Smith or even Isaiah Jackson.

Not really attached to the German, the Pacers are also ready to exchange Daniel Theis (30), still under contract until 2024, at 8.7 million this season, then 9.1 million for the 2023/2024 season. Then, for the 2024/2025 season, it is a “team option” at 9.5 million dollars.
