Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving dominate Wolves

For the first time in preseason, and despite already four wins in four matches, Wolves presented their five majors: Anthony Edwards, Karl-Anthony Towns, D’Angelo Russell, Rudy Gobert and Jaden McDaniels.

If on paper, it’s enticing. On the field, there is still a lot of work to do, and this game against Brooklyn easily proves it. D’Angelo Russell lost 6 balls, the attack was messy and with their awkwardness at 3-pts (7/33), the Wolves failed to shake up Kevin Durant and company.

The 2014 MVP and Kyrie Irving were in fine form, with 20 and 26 points respectively, and the Nets were the difference maker in the first period. Behind this duo, several players shone, such as Royce O’Neale, Day’Ron Sharpe and Cameron Thomas. For his part, Ben Simmons defended on Karl-Anthony Towns and was plagued by faults since he will commit six in just thirteen minutes.

More solid, the Nets won 102-112 and ended their preseason with two wins and as many losses.
